Mr. Muhammad Naseem ( Independent Director & Chairman AC )

Mr Naseem is a Chartered Accountant and a Life Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). He is also a Life Member of the Institute of Chartered Accounts of Pakistan (ICAP)
Mr Naseem also holds a Masters degree from the University of Punjab.

Mr Naseem became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant in England and Wales in 1968 and soon thereafter he joined the European Firm of Price Waterhouse & Co., a large and prestigious firm. This provided him an opportunity to serve and interact with the firm’s large and multidimensional clientele engaged in a variety of businesses, such as: banking, oil and gas exploration and production, marine transport, oil refining, petrochemicals, investment banking and financial services, LNG production and marketing, civil engineering, hospitality, oilfield services, garment manufacturing and exports, water desalination, agricultural support services, etc.
While the nature of MrNaseem’s work was mainly Assurance (Auditing), he was also engaged in handling some complex litigation support work, transaction advisory, financial investigations, financial re-engineering, acquisition audits, etc,.
In the year 1974 the Price Waterhouse Middle East Firm was set up and Mr Naseem was moved to that firm. In 1977 Mr Naseem was admitted to the partnership of the firm and was located to Cairo, Egypt. With his elevated position Mr Naseem was engaged in providing professional services to Price Waterhouse’s large global clientele
Price Waterhouse had a programme for placement of its partners in different territories which was then known as “Partners’ International Programme”. Under this programmeMr Naseem was moved to Price Waterhouse’sassociate firm in Pakistan, A.F.Ferguson& Co in 1982. A .F. Ferguson & Co always had an impressive portfolio of clientele engaged in all-encompassing businesses. Besides his regular professional responsibilities as an Assurance partner, Mr Naseem also headed the firm’s professional training and education function.
After a professional career spanning some 37 years, Mr Naseem retired from the firm in the year 2005.

Later he joined PIA Investments Ltd. as General Manager Finance and General Manager Corporate Affairs looking after hotel investments in New York, Paris, Abu Dhabi and Riyadh.

He has served with BRR Group as Group Finance Director in charge of 3 publicly quoted Modarabas, from where he was elected unopposed as Chairman of the Modaraba Association of Pakistan.

He was appointed by Government of Pakistan as Managing Director of House Building Finance Corporation with 58 offices throughout Pakistan.

He has worked also as a Financial Consultant with a major media group , among other assignments. He has also successfully managed an agricultural farm in the Interior of Sindh. He has served as Member Board of Governors Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture (IVS) as well as Chairman Finance and Planning Committee IVS.
