Surface Preparation

The life and durability of a coating is directly related to the degree of surface preparation and suitability of the surface. Following precautions must be taken before application of BERGER Cataphos Water Based Road/Runway Marking Paint:

  • Road surface must be free from mud, sand, oil, foreign matter, loose particles and especially moisture. Moisture is a big barrier to adhesion for all types of coatings.

  • Do not apply the product on very poor grade asphalt / bitumen.
