SILK EMULSION
Scope
Berger Silk Emulsion is a high quality acrylic emulsion. It has hiding power and color retention properties. It is a low odor emulsion with high stain resistance, outstanding water resistance, anti-fungal properties, excellent coverage and outstanding washability. It is a premium quality decorative paint which gives an attractive silk luster.
Freshly painted room with Berger Silk Emulsion can be reoccupied in 2-3 hours after painting. It has low maintenance coating and stain beading effect formulation. It is an environment friendly paint.
Uses
Berger Silk Emulsion is used on interior surfaces, such as plaster, concrete, gypsum, brick work, asbestos, chip board and hard board etc.
Surface Preparation
The substrate must be sound, clean, dry, free from dust, oil grease and laitance etc. New surfaces should be sand papered and brushed off by using stiff bristle brush. It should then be coated with Berger Plastron Wall Primer Sealer.
Typical Painting System
Stir well before use.
It is recommended to apply Berger Silk Emulsion by roller or spray only. For roller application dilute 20 ~ 30% with clean tap water by volume. For spray application dilute 30 ~ 40% with clean tap water by volume. Diluted paint must be mixed well before use. Do not leave the diluted paint for more than one day.
Drying Time
Berger Silk Emulsion dries within one hour. It takes longer time to dry in rainy and cold season. However, allow 2-3 hours between coats.
Coverage
Berger Silk Emulsion covers 12-16 meter square per liter per coat depending upon preparation.
Berger Silk Emulsion is available in 1 and 4 liter pack sizes.
Safety Precautions
The paint should be protected from extreme hot or cold temperatures. It is advisable to ensure good ventilation during application and drying. The container should be properly closed and kept in an upright position after use. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with water and take medical aid if required.
